Stillhouse Hollow fishing report 10/08/08

Stillhouse has been off the last week or so, the only bright spot is the schoolers. Fish up to 4 pounds are schooling all day with the best activity around 10 in the morning to noon. East of the island is an area with lots of schoolers now. The deep water fishing has been spotty at best. I had a 8.5, 7.5 and a 7 in the first Saturday of the month tournament this past weekend in 25 to 32 foot deep. On Sunday we spent all day searching for deep fish and only managed 9 keepers with one 6 pounder and the rest were 2 to 3 pounds. The grass is beginning to grow on the east end of the road around the cedar trees with schoolers in the area and fish coming on cranks in this area. The water system which takes water from Stillhouse to Georgetown Lake was used on the Second of October and the lake dropped 1 foot in one hour.
