Stillhouse Hollow fishing report 9/23/08

The early morning bite in 3 foot and less on frog baits with bass up to 6 pounds. The fish are scattered between 42 foot deep to 20 foot. My best success has been on a one ounce spoon in 32 to 42 foot of water with fish up to 8 pounds and several 3 to 5 pound fish. The grass is starting in the exact way it did in 1997, mostly skunk weed and spinney pond weed growing in some areas of the lake. There is some hydrilla mixed in with these other grasses. The hydrilla will eventually overtake these other grasses.
