Stillhouse Hollow fishing report 01/08/09

Stillhouse has been tuff to catch quality fish on lately. You may find a school of quality bass mixed in with the white bass on a jigging spoon, best depth for me has been between 45 and 25. This is spotty at best and remember if your sonar does not show the presents of fish you are probably wasting time. There are a lot of smaller fish keeper to 3 pounds in 7 to 20 foot that will bit a C-rig, stay close to the drops. There also have been some fish coming on 3/4 ounce football jigs in the same depths and areas. The trap bite and crank bait bite should soon start up, on the warmer days the big fish will move up in the trees and suspend and also along the shollow banks. Good luck, Dave
