Stillhouse Hollow Lake report 5/23/2011

Stillhouse is on a come back. The grass is looking great and spreading out over all the same locations it had back in 2006. The big Bass are not near as common but good fish are being caught every day in the grass or on the edges. Best technique seems to be light Texas rig, small C-rig or shakey head jigs in or on the edges of the grass. Watermelon seed baits work well in all types of baits. There are some good fish also being caught in 20 to 30 foot in the timber on Texas rigs. As of now, I have not been able to catch the bass by droping into the thicker grass, but it will not be long before this technique is a good patern on Stillhouse Lake.
